Yasmeen works for two charities: Carers MK and Carers Bucks as Young Carers and Young Adult Carers Service Manager. She started her role as service manager in October 2021. Being a young adult carer herself it was refreshing for her to know how much support is out there for carers. Yasmeen wanted to make it her mission to build awareness around unpaid carers in the community and spread the word about support available to them.

Yasmin Reeve is a 3rd year OU student studying sports fitness and coaching. She is part of the student voice and wellbeing ambassadors team in ECYS and has a special interest in student mental health as well as an interest in helping the OU become an even better place for people with neurodiversities to study.

Yoseph Araya is a Lecturer in Ecology and Environmental Science. He has done a full circle of The Open University, starting out as a research student, then research fellow, then associate lecturer, and is now a member of the central academic team. He has taught OU modules at every level and across a number of faculties. In addition to tutoring, he has studied a number of OU courses himself, so is keenly aware of juggling TMA deadlines alongside life events.

Scientifically, Yoseph’s research spans plant ecology, soil and water management while balancing humanity’s demands alongside nature’s provision. He is often to be found appreciating parks or getting active in them, with the occasional coffee/newspaper break – sometimes all in the same place.
