The team at Student Hub Live are here to offer OU students a range of events that cover all sorts of general study skills, including academic conduct, critical thinking, problem solving and essay planning to name but a few!
We also facilitate around 20 live broadcasts a year, bringing to life important academic skills, freshers inductions, and a handful of faculty events. We also bridge the gap of online learning by hosting some well-being/ social events to foster that oh-so important sense of academic community, making sure you feel supported and a part of something bigger. More recently, we have been developing some regular supportive events for our student carers and also for our neurodivergent students.
These sessions are open to all students (including staff) at The Open University. You can meet other like-minded students and helpful members of staff.
At SHL events you can get involved in the live chat, tell us what you think using interactive widgets and polls and spend time reflecting on how the material applies to you and your studies.
We pride ourselves on listening to our students, and we'd love to hear from anyone with ideas, suggestions or looking to collaborate: studenthub@open.ac.uk
Thanks for reading and hope to see you joining us soon!
