Introduction to Social Sciences and Global Studies - 4th October 2021

Part 1: the session will cover level 1 modules, content and how they are taught, followed by Part 2: what students can do afterwards and an introduction to the qualifications. The event will showcase the school and get new students enthused about studying with the School, FASS and the OU.

I am a Staff Tutor in the School of Social Sciences and Global Studies and Module Co-Chair of DD102. I have worked for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer for 20 years, teaching primarily on the Social Sciences Introductory Level 1 entry module.

Janet Hunter

I am a Staff Tutor in the School of Social Sciences and Global Studies and Module Chair of DD103. I have worked for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer for 20 years. 

Karen Foley

Karen Foley is a lecturer at The Open University and oversees Student Hub Live, The Open University’s live online interactive platform to facilitate academic community. Chair of Y032 People, Work and Society, Karen is involved in the Open and Access programmes.

Teresa Willis

I am a Staff Tutor in the School of Social Sciences and Global Studies and Module Chair of DD105. In addition to my Staff Tutor role, I have worked for the Open Univas an Associate Lecturer since 2009, teaching on a wide range of Social Sciences modules
