Darren Gray

Darren has been with The Open University since 2016, working as a project manager with the Assessment Programme. Before that, he worked in other project-management roles, delivering infrastructure to support the sustainable expansion of Milton Keynes, as well as working in community, economic and sports development. He recently worked on a review of the OU’s assessment-banking policy, process and practice, and drafted a report aimed at improving it for students. 

Darren is a keen sportsman and has coached several sports, including American football, volleyball and for, the last decade, korfball. He has also acted as a mentor to several students as they progressed through their university studies. Not only that, but he is also a published poet and a former lead singer in a rock band!
