Jason Nicholls

Jason started working at the Open University as an Information Security Specialist in 2016. He has a passion for catching hackers and keeping them away from the university’s computer systems. 

Attending the University of West England, Jason undertook an undergraduate’s degree in digital forensics and found his passion in hacking. After university, Jason took up a job as an ethical security tester, working for several major UK institutions and the UK government, hacking his way through many ‘secure’ computer systems.  

Away from the computer, Jason’s passions still involve getting into the nitty-gritty, with him often to be found in his workshop taking apart anything he can get his hands on!
