Alison Fox

Alison Fox is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies at The Open University and currently holds the role of Associate Head of School for Research and Knowledge Exchange in the School of Education, Childhood, Youth and Sport. Her personal research has been about early career teachers and their development, including their support networks and how this contributes to their retention in the profession. She has been supporting practitioner researchers for over 20 years. She is pathway lead for the Learning and Teaching Pathway and has led the production of a new Masters Multidisciplinary Dissertation module: Education, Childhood and Youth. Alison really enjoys joint work with students as peer coaches and mentors on the Masters programme to help co-create material, engage in scholarship and recently a joint student-staff research project linked to the MA Education topics.  Alison is a triathlete, recorder player, book lover and lives with her daughters, husband and tortoises.
