She is a Fellow of Higher Education and has a degree in Specialist Community Practitioner Public Health Nursing along with her Registered Nurse Adult qualification.

She also has an Open Degree with the Open University and a Masters Degree in Social Anthropology – Children and Child Development. She has a specialist interest in resilience and adversity linked to her dissertations both for her BSc and Master’s degree. She has an understanding how adversity can have a profound impact on studies and that it is unique to each student. Her ongoing research looks at how nature can contribute to resilience and how it may be linked to activities or past-times enjoyed in nature and the outside. Social prescribing is an aspect which links health to resilience which in turn links Lynne's interests and professional qualifications.
