Will Murcott

Will Murcott is a mental health nurse and central academic with The Open University. The focus of Will’s clinical work has been with children and young people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health. He has worked with young people in hospital and community settings in several regions across the country and internationally, leading in the development of children and young people's mental health services for Her Majesty's Armed Forces.

Will has a keen interest in teaching and ensuring the quality of nurse education, and has worked as a nurse lecturer and programme lead at other HEIs. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Will’s research focus is on youth and young people and their experiences of mental health services, and he is researching the development and impact of youth mental health services from a nursing perspective.
