With over 23 years of experience as an educator, she has honed her skills and leads others to establish parity in student success and staff experiences. She has contributed significantly to the OU’s Black and Minority Ethnic Staff Network as co-chair, and is also an Associate Lecturer on DD102 Introducing the Social Sciences. Prior to joining the OU 16 years ago, Rehana worked in a local Further Education College leading on their Access Programme, and headed Teacher Training. Outside of work when she’s not procrastinating with her research, Rehana tries to keep fit by running, lifting weights, walking her Romanian Rescue ‘Nemo’ who has only one ear, running two teenagers around, and clearing up after her 2 cats!
