Helen Barton

Helen has a BA(Honours) Music from Lancaster University and studied her MA Music with The Open University. She started working at the OU in early 2012, speaking to students on the phone in Student Recruitment, before doing a number of different jobs across the University including writing & revising student policy, lots of projects, writing and implementing the University’s Fee Strategy and supporting our pandemic response. She has been the Senior Manager Remote Exams Development since early 2022, improving processes, information and experience of remote exams for students and staff.

When she’s not talking about exams, you can find Helen singing with her acapella group and choir, entertaining her very energetic border collie, or getting her hands dirty at the allotment.
