Ash became an Associate Lecturer with the Open University in 2015.  Prior to this he studied for his LLB in law at Lancaster University, and then completed the Legal Practice Course with the College of Law (London). Following this, he worked for city law firms in commercial and intellectual property litigation.

In 2004, he retrained as a legal educator by studying for a PGCE at Greenwich University and then successfully became Head of law and Quality Manager at a large Further Education College in London where he was awarded a commendation for achieving continued success in achieving high results in law for the department. He then transitioned into higher education when he became module lead for undergraduate and post-graduate law at the international school for King’s College London.  Ash then joined the Open University as an Associate Lecturer and competed his Master’s in Law LLM with the university as well as achieved his Fellowship with Higher Education Academy. He is now a Student Experience Manager in FBL and continues to teach law with the OU.

Born and raised in London, Ash now lives in the South West of England. He enjoys being creative. He paints, draws, sculpts, makes music, takes photographs and makes short films. Ash is committed to helping students from all backgrounds to progress through their learning and is this third year of working on Student Hub Live events.
