Presentation time: Friday, 1 July, 2016 - 14:55
In this session Matt Staples looks at voting trends in the EU referendum, and discusses why traditional models of group belonging and deference politics are becoming increasingly difficult to apply. He will talk about the increasing divide between cosmopolitan and non-cosmopolitan political cultures, and the evidence that suggests a move away from traditional left/right/centre splits to a much more sophisticated set of sub cultures within the political landscape of the UK.
