Dr Andreas Vossler

Dr Andreas Vossler is Senior Lecturer in Psychology and a trained systemic family therapist who started working for the OU more than ten years ago.  His research is broadly interested in intimate relationships, including the way technology impacts on them, and the therapeutic work with couples and families. He is lead editor of Mad or Bad? A Critical Approach to Counselling and Forensic Psychology (2017) and co-editor of The Counselling and Psychotherapy Research Handbook (2014) and Understanding Counselling and Psychotherapy (2010; all published by Sage Publishers).

 Andreas has joined the University in 2009 and has previously been involved in the production of the Level 2 module D240 Counselling: Exploring Fear and Sadness and co-chaired the production of DD310 Counselling and Forensic Psychology: Investigating Crime and Therapy. He was Qualification Director of the Foundation Degree in Counselling (X09) for six years and has contributed to the presentation of various other psychology module (D171 Introduction to Counselling, DZX222 Exploring Psychology Online Project, DD307 Social Psychology: Critical Perspectives on Self and Others). Andreas is currently co-chairing the production of the new Level 2 module D241 Exploring Mental Health and Counselling that will replace D240 in October 2020.
