Year 1 to 2 and studying Maths for the first time

< Back to Event

Midway through Level 1, the second 60 credits involves a shift towards your subject specialism and in developing specific skills. In this session, Sue considers how to make sense of new terms and concepts, using maths as an example. While this session will appeal specifically to students studying maths for the first time, the advice given will apply to all students at this level.

Presentation time:
Monday, 31 July, 2017 - 12:30
With:

Sue Pawley

Dr Susan Pawley is an academic in the Mathematics Department at the Open University. She has a great interest in teaching mathematics, and loves that moment when a student understands something.
