Study intensity

< Back to Event

Are you considering studying full time, or planning on taking modules that overlap? Want to know how other students have coped, and what advice they would give? This session takes a look at high intensity study from a range of perspectives.

Fanni is a student who has experience of taking multiple modules. Frank speaks to students about this every day in his role as a senior advisor in the student support team. Rachel has been doing a scholarship project that involves hearing from many students, and she has analysed some key themes that tend to be associated with greater success when the heat is on.

Presentation time:
Thursday, 14 June, 2018 - 11:20
With:

I am studying towards my business management degree with The Open University.

Frank Farley

Frank Farley is an Educational Advisor for The Open University. He has proudly served the OU for over 11 years and also completed an OU qualification during this time. He has also studied full time at university so appreciates the demands higher education study can place upon time management.

Rachel Penny

Hi! My name is Dr Rachel Penny and I’m Co-Chair of DE100, which is the Level 1 psychology module. I’ve been passionate about psychology ever since I studied it as an undergraduate and went on to complete a PhD exploring children’s understanding of nationality.
