Moving up

< Back to Event

Rachel Penny uses the analogy of planning a holiday to discuss how different study levels require different skills. What happens when you move up a level? How much harder does it get, and what do you need to do to succeed?

Rachel explains how to focus on key skills for each stage of study.  The key skills include critical evaluation, moving beyond description, using secondary sources, and including a variety of perspectives.

Hi! My name is Dr Rachel Penny and I’m Co-Chair of DE100, which is the Level 1 psychology module. I’ve been passionate about psychology ever since I studied it as an undergraduate and went on to complete a PhD exploring children’s understanding of nationality.
